The Use and Development Direction of Infrared Laser Lighting
Infrared laser Lights belong to semiconductor lasers, which use semiconductor materials to release photons during the process of electron recombination to generate light energy. Then, photons generate resonance between resonant cavities to regulate the propagation direction of photons and form lasers.
Semiconductor lasers output light, so they can be used as lighting sources. Also, because lasers have good directionality, manifested as small beam angles, concentrated energy, and sufficient light intensity to propagate over long distances, they are very suitable for long-distance lighting. The ability to illuminate distant targets is the biggest feature of infrared laser illuminators. However, the energy distribution of a semiconductor laser on the vertical cross-section of the beam is uneven, exhibiting a Gaussian distribution, with a strong center and gradually weakening at the edges, or a distribution of light and dark stripes. It is not advisable to directly use semiconductor lasers as lighting sources, usually as night vision supplementary light sources for cameras.
The night vision monitoring system is composed of infrared laser lights, infrared cameras, black and white CCD cameras, or low light night vision equipment, achieving 24-hour continuous monitoring. This product has long effective lighting distance, long service life, good night vision imaging effect, high concealment, and completely solves the problem of night vision lighting. It is currently the most ideal infrared lighting product for night vision monitoring. It has been widely used in night vision monitoring places such as safe cities, intelligent transportation, border and coastal defense, forest fire prevention, vehicle systems, energy mining, water conservancy and electricity, airports and ports, administrative law enforcement, fishery and maritime supervision, police (military) equipment, and customized infrared laser lighting for special purposes (ultra high power, ultra long range, special application environments).
Nowadays, the 24-hour uninterrupted monitoring in the security industry requires increasingly high levels of infrared night vision, not only meeting the requirements of up to a few tens of meters in front of the eyes, but also increasing demand for long-distance night vision lighting. If an emergency occurs, it is even more necessary to track and monitor from close to medium to long distances. LED infrared light products can only achieve effects within a few tens of meters, and the infrared effect decays with increasing distance and angle. It is impossible to complete tracking and monitoring for medium to long distances.
Therefore, laser infrared lights, as night vision supplementary light sources for cameras, are increasingly in line with market demand, replacing LED infrared lights as the best combination of infrared light source products for medium and long distances. Because the laser infrared technology is a progressiveness infrared technology different from the essence of LED, and it has subsequently become the leading product and market of infrared technology. Domestic manufacturers led by 3KM Optoelectronics have invested in the research and development of laser infrared light products. With a keen market perspective, it seizes market opportunities to meet demand, while also occupying a leading position in the market, occupying the highest end of technology, and meeting the company's innovative development goals.
